Does it ever just hit you sometimes at the beauty that is all around you? The past couple of months I have been in awe at the state I call home. Partly because I have been on lots of adventures that have allowed me to see the varying examples of beauty and the other part because the seasons are changing.
Every morning as I drive to work I am reminded how much I love mountains. They are practically right outside my front door. I get to see them when the light is hitting them just right (morning and night) or when the clouds are resting on the tops or when they are covered in snow or vibrantly green, yellow, orange, red, etc. Mountains were something that I missed a lot on my mission because Spain just doesn't understand Utah mountains.
Keeping up the Sunday afternoon adventure tradition, Whitney, Susie, Chelsy, and I jumped in the car and headed up the canyon. We had music playing, windows rolled down and life was good. The mountains were just starting their transformation. It was a nice combination of green and yellow with hints of orange coming out. Our destination changed as we drove because we found a spot that was calling to us. After a few hundred jumping pictures, some rock climbing yoga, and hide-and-seek in the trees we were ready venture on to another view.
Because the leaves will keep changing, colors will become even more beautiful in the coming weeks and we have so many canyons to explore you might just see a follow up post for list item #56.
